We are praying for the families of the victims of this horrible event. We also pray for the family of the man who did this. I can't imagine what all of them must be going through. My hope is that we focus on the lives of the people who were killed that day. What we focus on is what we give power to. Let's give power to good, not evil. May God bless them and may they feel the open arms of a loving God who grieves with them.

What's wrong with this picture?
NOTHING! Sanjaya is finally gone and now the real competition can begin! I haven't been as excited about anyone this season as in the past, but at this point I am really rooting for Jordin. She has shown the most improvement over the past few weeks and really knocked my socks off this week. (The fact that she did a Christmas tour with Michael W. Smith doesn't hurt her in my eyes either!) I'm also pretty fond of Melinda, and am glad Simon finally told her to stop acting so surprised when she was told she could sing! Anyway, I am glad I have American Idol to keep me entertained during this wait. Hopefully by the time this season is over, I'll have a little girl to focus on instead. Here's hoping!

Not Our Turn Yet
Unbelievably, China only made it through 2 days of log in dates. That means there are still 5 days before they get to us, which could take 1 month...or 5. It's hard not to feel disappointed, to say the least...we thought for sure it would finally happen this time. But who are we to question God's plan? "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."-Romans 8:28. We know this is His plan for us and we need to keep trusting Him. So we continue to wait and remain grateful to be a part of this amazing plan we never could have dreamed for ourselves. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. They truly do mean so much to us. We'll keep you posted...

The Stork Came...
...and went, with no referral for us. Apparently it was delivering travel approvals and special need referrals. It looks like we won't hear anything this week, so we are hoping for next week. Robert has been working this week during our Easter break (yes, I said Easter break!) so he can bank it for a week when we do finally go to China. I have been relaxing at home, working on some projects I want to get finished, spending time with my friends, and trying not to think about Lily. Ha! The good news is, while I thought I would be completely stressed out and on pins and needles all week, I have felt amazingly peaceful. No matter what happens, we will at some point see her sweet face and it will have been totally worth the wait. This kind of peace can only come from the God who knew the plans He had for us before the creation of the earth. I am so thankful for that. We'll keep you posted, and hopefully we'll have some good news soon!
